UPDATE I JUST THREW UP THE FOOD AND HAVE STOMACH PAIN. Ordered 5 rolled tacos. Cashier with A necklace didn't inform me of his special and when I asked for it he charged me normal price and said too late. I asked if he can charge me difference and he wasn't having it. The rolled tacos are trash. We're not made fresh. Came with a smack of guacamole and barely any cheese. This place definitely changed from 2016. The cook was nice as I asked for lettuce and he assisted while cashier was unprofessional in regards saying I wasn't charged for it. Definitely won't be coming back.

This is the best taco shop on planet earth. I have been to many authtic taquerias across California and La Posta is my favorite. They have the best carne asada quesadillas and burritos. Their rolled tacos are always a good choice. I remember one night long ago there was a blackout but La Posta was using generators to stay open. I moved to the Bay Area 18 years ago and missed this place so much. When I am in San Diego I always go back.

Been eating here for years. It's always good, though not in the best location. Carne asada fries are great, as is the carne asada quesadilla.

It's a taco stand in the corner of a parking lot with some picnic tables outside to sit at. If you order the California burrito, the french fries in it will be so crispy that even when you reheat the burrito in a toaster oven the next day, they will still crunch.

By far best breakfast burrito in San Diego county. I’ve been coming here for years. The food is always consistent. There other menu items are great as well. The facility looks a little questionable but the food is Amazing. Its also a great place for a midnight snack.

I've ordered here several times and today will be my last. I ordered a surf and turf burrito and on my second bite, I discovered a toothpick in my mouth. Absolutely disgusting. Not to mention there was a gnat flying in the bag it came in. I killed it (you can see the wing and leg in pic) when I saw it sitting on the napkin upon opening the tied up bag.

Growing up in San Diego La Posta has always been a late night staple. The quesadilla special minus lettuce add French fries if you think you can handle it. Salsas have gotten really good over the years. They don’t always have limes. Grab one from the liquor store across the parking lot because it’s a must
